About three years ago, God gave me a vision for an Easter play. With Easter approaching, I felt a renewed sense of urgency to share the story here. While this is nothing in comparison to the visual concept, the story doesn't change. We know that God sent his son, Jesus to live among us and then to die for our sins. Have you ever stopped to think about the road He walked down to get to Golgotha. It wasn't much wider than the average man's arm span and at the time Jesus was making his way down that road it was flanked by people who were there to see the spectical. Not remember, Jesus was already holding the cross, and he was already stumbling from the beating he had taken. When I picture this in my mind I wonder how he managed to complete this trip. And moreover why He would take it. Oh, I know He did it because he loved me. But have you ever wondered where we would be right now if he had come to the beginning of that road and simply laid the cross down, lifted His face toward Heaven and told God "I'll pass". Praise God, we don't have to know, but as you celebrate this Easter, ask yourself, where would I be if He had not take that road.
